On Friday, 27 September 2013, the Scott County Historical Society will be observing the 135 year anniversary of the Battle of Punished Woman's Fork. The symposium being planned by artist Jerry Thomas and the Scott County Historical Society on 27 and 28 September 2013 will feature a ceremony at the battle site, an evening banquet, and a day of presentations and lectures. Speakers will include authors and experts James Leiker, Ramon Powers, Steve Brady, Conrad Fisher, Richard Littlebear, and John Monnett.
